Asher Faerstein, MEd, RP, holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in Gender Studies from Queen’s University. With extensive experience working with queer and trans individuals, neurodivergent folks, and those navigating challenging emotions, Asher offers trauma-informed therapy focusing on interpersonal relationships, attachment healing, and gender and sexual identity.
Drawing from an integrated therapeutic approach, Asher utilizes psychodynamic, existential, and evidence-based modalities, including narrative therapy, DBT, CBT, and somatic and mindfulness practices. Committed to social justice and harm reduction, Asher works to create a non-judgmental, collaborative space for clients to explore their experiences and foster greater self-awareness and connection.
Asher likes to spend their free time with their dog, being in a forest or on a mountain, relaxing with a good tv show, or seeing friends. They have lived in Montreal, Mayne Island, Vancouver, and Toronto.
